Shop with Scale Sheets

I hope this is the right subthread for this -
I only see Tailmakers that do full Silicone Tails and dont offer just parts (not tops) like the scale Sheets Front and Back or Fluke.
So my Question was , are people even intrested in such things? Like buying only parts of a Tail and doing the half of it themselfes so you can be kind of Proud of it?

Im asking since I had considered starting Tailmaking and offering Customs etc for Europe. Since I havent seen an Tailmaker in Europe /Germany with Silicone Tails.

We from Mer-tails indeed offer full silicone tails and we are based in Italy!

I think that the main reason why tail makers don't sell parts of tails it's because a costumer that ask for a tail generally can our isn't able to do it at home.
Honestly I handle our costumers service and even if lots of people come with a clear idea of what tail they would like they never ask for a partial job but it seems they prefer to receive it already done.

I also think that a tail maker wouldn't sell parts of tails because in this way you can find out some of the trade secrets or make bad publicity of their product because of some reasons (such as bad curing, bad paint job, fins that don't stay in place etc, all things that may happen if you're not used to work with silicone) more you should buy the same silicone used by the tail maker to complete the job and so on.

Anyway I think that this idea would work if you would be as a "tail maker suppliers" , let me try to explain my idea: Someone that wants to be a tail maker but can't make moulds because of some reasons (lack of space, bad weather and so on) and you sell parts of tails to this person that will complete the tail on the requests.

I don't know if I was able to express what I am think of now anyway I'll explain it further if you didn't understand it 😁

I think there's a thread about this somewhere but I don't remember what it's called. But yes, I definitely think selling tail parts would be a hugely successful thing. It'd save a lot of time and effort.
