Hello there

For the moment you can call me Interested landlover. I'm using this name as I'm only just starting to explore this part of myself. I'm a 18 year old dude (straight), pretty normal really, but since I was little I have always been oddly fascination in merfolk.

I have always been interested in the concept of merfolk. There is something about their connection to nature and perhaps the pure freedom that they possess but I have always had some sort of envy for them which is why I think have this fantasy. For most of my life that is all it has been a fantasy to think about but now that I'm older and a bit more grounded in who I am I have decided to indulge myself and tentatively explore this community.

I'll have to ask questions and please I kinda have know idea what I'm doing so bare with me but hopefully this can be a fun and interesting experience for me.

I don't have a tail but I have wanted to try one.

Haters are gonna hate no matter what and people are gonna judge no matter what. If you do something that makes you happy it doesn't matter what other people think.

don't know if this answered the question but its how I personally started looking at life several years ago and it is working for me.

how do you deal with other peoples judgement?

Second, I found that a lot of people support me. Some people look at me funny when I mention I'm a mermaid, until they see my video's in which I swim in my tail. Than they think it's pretty cool. Other than that.. I don't really care what others think. Mermaiding is something I really love to do, other people opinions won't change that :)

Do you know something?
They talk and judge most of the time because they're envious that you're happy, you're doing something that you like and most of all that you're enough brave to do what you want and makes you happy!

The best solution to this?
Ignore them! There isn't a better way to make them more angry and envious of you than seeing that they're giving the worst of them to make you like them (sad and boring) and... That it doesn't touch you in any way!
