Today we celebrated my mother and brother's dual birthday at my brother house with a bit of a pool party. One of my brother's friends brought some tails to try out. I think they are the Fin Fun tails. This was my first tail swim, completely unexpected. I have been keeping my merness a bit on the quiet side. Although I have talked about mermaids a lot. What a lot of fun. I opened up an album (which I had been planning on to place a few sketches, and added some of the photographs of me in the pool in tail.
Interesting that my brother last year buying a house with a pool, has made me look more into my inner mer. Now I can see why, My mother is a mermaid too.
from the album with my 6 year old niece. (who prefers my little pony at the moment.)

Still in the early stages of planning my own tail. There is a lot here to read. I spent a good portion last night and this morning reading Pearlie Mae's gianormous thread. I was in the process of considering which monofin to get. (For visits to my brother's pool) While the Fin Fun was alright for a first swim, I felt the fluke was a bit on the small side. It worked pretty well, I have not been swimming in a while (can not stand public pools.)
Something is up, because the Koi in the garden pond splashed me with it's tail earlier this week.
