Yeah it's in pretty awful shape. Definitely not worth the price-tag. It looks like it needs a complete overhaul.
If anyone does buy this and needs to patch the scales, he used pumpkin seeds embedded in clay to make his scale molds.

Yeah, Shawn you've been in mine and saw the condition it was in ('ok, not fantastic'), and that was $300, maybe $350, not $850. I got it what, four years ago, and it was an old tail even then. I love the crap out of it, but I would have been annoyed if I paid much more than what I did for it.

I've honestly never really liked his tails. I think it was just a case of him having the market cornered for so long and there not being much else above him.

It is NOT a scam. The tail might be not in great condition but the current owner is NOT Adam Martin. You might need to rethink that before making assumption. It's mermaid Kassandra who is selling it.

all love to Mermaid Kassandra, but for the price of $1,624.13 (952.08 usd for the tail and 672.05 usd for shipping) plus having to either do your own repairs or send it to someone on your dime for repairs (which would probably include making a brand new fluke mold just to get those broken bits fixed at the very least), it's just not feasible.

I'm sorry for the price being to high but it's because some of the repairs are already been made and in this week I'm going to fix all the others remaining so that the only part to be repaired are a piece of the fluke and some little spots of painting on the waist and importing dragonskin from America is extremely expensive.









To repair the fluke (that I didn't broke as it arrived already with that damage at my home from the Russian girl so if you need to ask explanations about that you should ask to who previously owned it as I weared it only for one photo shoot where I realized it was too short for my tastes) you don't need to make a new fluke mold you only need to make the mold for the missing piece and than attach it first with fish netting and then with sil proxy or dragonskin (I asked to smooth on and they suggested me to use sil proxy).









For the rest I'll upload a video of me swimming in the tail to let everyone see that the tail works.









I don't repair the fluke as where I live I won't have good weather till the next summer so I should start a war to make silicone cure as it's humid and it rains almost every day and with university I don't have time to start this war.




I asked to Alexander to help me as he lives in Rome where it's easier to work with silicone but he has been busy for some personal reasons (we also didn't take any new commissions for our tailmaking company).









I need a taller tail that's why I have to sell this one otherwise I wouldn't depart with this one as even if Adam scammed a lot of people believe me he knew his job and when I got this tail I was a bit astonished because I couldn't understand why he decided to do that as he knew his job really also because painting didn't come off even after such a long time (aside form some spots on the waist but I assume it's because of the stress you put on it).



As for shipping it's n not my fault but international shipping fees for a 20kg tail are high you should know it so don't blame me for this please.



Anyway if I won't sell the tail now I I'll relist it with a lower price just don't expect it to be that low for the reasons I explained before.

And this Saturday I'm going to fix all the rest (missing scales and similar) apart from the missing final piece of the fluke and little spots of paint on the waist (they're almost invisible for how small they are).

Anyway yes there are!

Because at the we decided to completely fix the tail and to totally repaint and reinforce it and Alexander made a wonderful job!



We got a metallic argent pigment and we used it all over the tail to give it a shiny wet look.



I'll have better pictures for when I'm putting on the eBay listing but I think that I can't lower the price more than to €700.

Alexander also managed to give a new 3D texture to the scales, reinforced and pigmented again the whole waist giving it a more flashy tone.

His job is awesome and really strong so the tail will last for still some years and after this repair on a 10 years tail we are thinking on offering fixes and add-ons (like new fins) for both fabric and silicone tails.

What do you think about that?

The tail has been completely restored thanks to Alexander's habilities in working with Silicone (as I said before for me it wasn't possible) and now it's like new he gave it a real new life: he repainted it completely adding silver reflections to it and a new 3D texture to the fluke and all the scales, he reinforced all the tail expecially in the waist and foot pochet area and the fluke is like new as you can see :)

Don't worry to bother anyone! 😉
The facts about Adam happened so many years ago that everything about him seemed to get lost.
In two words Adam was a silicone tailmaker and I must say that he was quite good in doing it even if his prices where really high!
He started producing silicone tails ( I know that the twin tail of the one I am selling was ordered by Chris Crumely -sorry I don't remember well his surname- anyway he's the most famous mermaid photographer that also made the pictures for Mertailor).
After making some tails he started asking a lot of money for only one tail , like $10000, but you know it was a very realistic tail with a particular drainage system (you can still find his videos on YouTube I can give you the links if you want) and all of a sudden, after receiving a lot of money for many many silicone tails he evanesced with all the money never making the tails he had to.
This one is one of the few he made.

After that I only know that he is running from a country to another to avoid the law. 😐

No it isn't my tail, this is the twin tail of mine once owned by the photographer Chris Crumley (our how it is spelled XD) as I said before.
More Adam made several tails for Phantom Films (there is a video also for those tails I can post the link of you want to see it) he made 6-7 silicone tails for them if I'm not wrong I saw them in some YouTube videos.

yup, importing dragon skin from america IS incredibly expensive :/ in australia, you pay 4,500 just for a basic tail from america... and thats not even including postage. people really dont know how lucky they are to be spending less :/. not that im saying buying a damaged tail is good.
