Hey everyone! So, I'm Yaqui native on my mother's side, and my tail is hourglass dolphin themed, which are antarctic dolphins that live in the farthest, most distant cold water.
I've been trying to work out tops and accessories that might compliment the look and theme of the tail/mersona, and the Hourglass Dolphin pattern on their bodies is strikingly similar to Orcas, and other such cetaceans. When I think of Orcas, I end up thinking of Inuit and northern native tribes. Because of this, and the bloodline on my mom's side, I was thinking about trying to blend a bit of a tribal feel to my mersona. Which would make sense, considering dolphins are pod animals. I'd already been in discussion with a mer on the CA Pod group on Facebook for a vest I might be able to work on, but now I'm trying to think of an accessory or two that could compliment the collective look and theme. I keep thinking of a necklace or possibly arm bands. I have a lovely native american choker that would fit, but it's nice and I wouldn't want to take it into water. Dry gigs/shoots would be fine, though.
Any thoughts or suggestions? Ideally with a native or tribal tint?
