Art at commission/request

[Luna Dreamtide]

Given the interest people have had in my art I'm announcing prices for commissions for my art.

I work in mixed media - including pencils, ink and markers on recycled brown tone paper in an A5 size.
Artworks on their own - not framed or mounted are $25
and $30 for the work mounted on a backboard

Larger sizes can requested

The works of Raina, Iona and Pearlie Mae are all drawn from photos and my DeviantArt displays other works I've done in a similar style. So I'm happy to create a portrait style drawings or simply a whimsical fantasy drawing of your own request.

Sure :D A few mers have said that. Although drawing straight from a photo isn't a necessity, I could always take an existing photo and add your dream tail :)

Just a quick note, it looks like the inner part of the tail body is more green and the sides are more pale. Is that a trick of the light? Or is it not finished yet? I know in the photo it's taken from, the light was making everything very pale, but the sides are a bit pinker and the belly a bit creamier, with green in between. Just thought I'd double check :) I don't like being a stickler but I'd rather know now than when it arrives.

Ah ok. I chose to make that side very light to mimic the bright highlight from the orginal photo and add to the shimmery look. I can add more pink and cream to the centre of the belly if you wish though, that must have been something I missed.

A closer look for you Kelda. This is the belly part of the tail at two different angles with straight on light. From one angle the light picks up the shimmer and disguises the colours. Ive added a touch more cream and pink the centre though and will re-refine the scale tips if this looks ok.

Oh it's just the sides that are pink, not the centre, but that looks fine! The angle of the first pictures made it look different. Maybe just a touch of pink on the very edge, and a bit of green between the pink and the centre cream. It does look lovely as is, the fins and fluke just seem very pink in comparison.
