So, I'm looking at buying a new monofin. I absolutely Love my Hydra, but I've been recommended to also get a non-plastic fin that's also stiffer, for better propulsion.
I'm looking at the Leaderfin website and they let you choose the stiffness. How do you decide what's right for you? I'd love to have feedback from anyone who's tested any of these fins. Also, are stiffer fins harder to swim in?
Thanks!

Stiffer fins require more power and 'push' from your legs (so a big more of a workout) but they allow you to go much faster and farther per kick. I usually like my fins as stiff as I can get them :P I know this definitely isnt for everybody though, and many people like less stiffness for various reasons (like if they want the look of the tail to flow more)

Thanks for answering! Yeah I chose the Hydra for flow, and I love it, it was perfect for what I wanted and needed :-) So, you would go for the "extra hard" stiffness? What fin do you have, do you perhaps have vids of swimming in a stiff fin ?
