Hi Everyone,
I have a bit of an odd question. I was hoping that someone here could help me to find out if there are any mermaid classes or "schools" in the MD/DC/VA/DE area that could help me to setup a Bachelorette party for my sister. Both her and I have always loved mermaids and while trying to plan one, I kept thinking about how cool it would be to do something mermaid related, which after a lot of fruitless searching online, has brought me here. I've seen some mermaid swim schools in various places around the web and one was in MD and I have tried contacting them twice now and I haven't received a response. Does anyone know of someone or a place where I could setup something like this for my sister? We don't have a pool and so would need to go somewhere for it. We're located in the Baltimore area so would want something as close to there as we can get (but I would be willing to force the other girls to go 2-3 hours away, if needed!). I would need to rent tails for a range of sizes from super tiny (size 0) to plus size and would want to hold it sometime in December, if possible, so the pool would need to be inside. Our budget isn't huge, and I could maybe spend $100 per girl if that includes everything. I would have maybe 5 girls total. If I could swing the 6 hour drive, I would take my sister to the Mer-Mania in NC but I just can't convince everyone to drive that far (6+ hours for us), pay for tickets, hotel, etc. If only I could have had the party in the summer, I know I would have been able to find so many other options out there, but that's not meant to be since my sister is getting married in the winter!

I've been making myself insane trying to figure this out because everything else that I can think of for a Bachelorette party just seems not good enough in comparison and I know my sister would be so thrilled if she could live the dream of being a mermaid, even if just for a day! This is my last resort before I have to sadly move on to something else that won't be as special, so please, if anyone has some information or ideas that might help, I would love to hear them!

Thanks for any help or suggestions you might be able to offer.

I think there's one in the VA area. Maybe contact Chris Crumley? He's located in Virginia Beach I think.
