Greetings,

I've been reading around a bit here and am certainly interested in doing a bit of Mer swimming. However it will first be necessary to produce a tail and thus I was curious as to what manner of tail and the method of making that is recommended. There are a wide variety listed here so it has been hard to narrow them down. Any ideas or suggestions are greatly appreciated.

First of all welcome to the MerNetwork! A great beginner tail is definitely the fabric one, which can be easily made with a sewing machine and some swimsuit or spandex fabric. Practicing in just a monofin is a great place to start too. There are a bunch of threads on here already if you need help making a tail or there is also a list of places to buy fabric tails. Happy swimming :)
