wazzap my fellow Cali peps. I was wondering if any of you know of any places where I can get swimming lessons. I can swim but not very well.
I've looked online for classes, but some that I found are either seasonal, or for kids. I live in the Riverside Area so if anyone near me can point me in the right direction, I'd really appreciate it.

I thought of doing the same when I started mermaid swimming last year. But found better to practice at the pool 1-2 times a week with tail and fin, more if its hot weather!

I'd practice with my tail if I had a group. But I'd settle for just just a regular old swim.

Does your local YMCA have a pool? If so it is very likely that they offer affordable swimming lessons

I do "regular old swim" most of the time. Most YMCA pools have lap swimming times scheduled. I do my workouts alone, but some folks like to share a lane and work out together. Best thing is to go there, find a swim pal, and workout together. Suggest swim sets to do, keep the workouts varied, and have fun. Increase your distances, improve your times, etc. The important thing is to have fun!
