So I was talking with Merman Arion about getting into my tail for the first time, with nothing but oil and friendship, and he mentioned it would have made a funny video. That gave me the idea to start a thread sharing your funniest mermaid moments!

Here's mine:
First, to get into my tail, I didn't have any lubricant, lotion, or conditioner that I could use, so I used oil. I know it's not advised, but it's what I had so of course, I rub it all over my lower half. I watched Lunette and Arie cringe and laughed as I oiled up my merbutt in my thong. XD
Then, of course, actually getting into my 45lb tail when I first got it was a huge team effort. Mermaid Lunette and Merdragon Arie, as well as my hubby all helped me to slip it on. While they were smoothing out the wrinkles on my legs, I grinned and said, "Mmm. Yes. Stroke me." They all stopped to sigh and groan for a while. I then thanked them for putting up with me. Lol! And of course, when I slipped off my lotus top, I had a derp moment when I forgot they were standing in front of me and almost flashed them. XD They saw way too much of me that day. I have amazing friends.

Well a dog kept barking at me in the park when I did my first shoot. He seemed confused. And then he came over and played with us. He didn't want to go back to his owner xD

Perfect! I was swimming in Hawaii and after a few hours of splashing around and making all the kids go insane, I decided it was about time to become a human again. I had a whole plan, I would slip out of my neoprene tail underwater and take my monofin and give the tailskin to my mother who would be on the other side of the beach. WELL. Halfway into pulling the dang tail off, I go up for a breath of air and I hear "And here is our resident mermaid! Show us your tail, mermaid!!!" It was a tour boat with a whole bunch of people wanting to see me flipping around, but I barely had my tail on! :lol: I had to wave, slip back underwater again to pull up the tail AGAIN and give a big tail slap until I could resume my ten minute process of tail removal :lol:

One time, when I was still in the army, I had my monofin sent to me. I had to pick it up at the battalion building, which is where high ranking officers and NCO's are. As I was bringing it out, still in the box, my Sargent major came up to me and asked what it was. I told him swim equipment.

I sort of wish I had video of me trying to put on my tail in Cozumel, with the sand and the waves and the realizing it was taking so long was because I had it on backwards

I went to visit Eden and Matt in FL to get fitted for a new tail and Eden wanted to take my boyfriend and I to Ginnie Springs. So I took my original Mertailor tail that was made poorly so it didn't fit, but Matt wanted to see how the fluke moves. So Eden and I were putting on our tails and she introduced me to the miracle of coconut oil and she decided to help me pull my tail up. So I was on the ground on my side while Eden was elbow deep down the back of my tail, pulling up this too short tail with all her strength and I was rolling around from one side to the next while she's still arm deep down my butt. Then like 7 people come over and watch us and ask to take pictures and start snapping photos while Jenna and I are still fighting with my tail. I'm pretty positive theres photos of us somewhere on the Internet trying to smile for the camera while Jenna's down my tail covered in coconut oil. It was embarrassing.

So I recently went to Crystal Creek which is just up from Townsville and met up with Mermaids Kait, Nixe and Reef fish. When we were taking photos I managed to find a slippery rock and slid into the water in front of about 20 people :P

This is the calm before the storm. Then Reef fish wanted me to go onto my stomach for a cute photo. I rolled over and slid straight down :p

So I recently went to Crystal Creek which is just up from Townsville and met up with Mermaids Kait, Nixe and Reef fish. When we were taking photos I managed to find a slippery rock and slid into the water in front of about 20 people :P

This is the calm before the storm. Then Reef fish wanted me to go onto my stomach for a cute photo. I rolled over and slid straight down :p

Ew! I hate when that happens. I like swimming in Lake Michigan, but that seaweed sometimes! I think the worst part is that I have waist-long hair, so sometimes it takes a few washings (read days!) to find all the little pieces. :P
