Mermaid Hunter

Hi! I usually go by Mermaid Hunter in whatever parts of the mer community I've been to (mostly YouTube), though I'm still keeping an eye out for a mermaid name. Aside from one brief childhood obsession, I got into mermaiding back in 2012 or so. I suspect it was H2O that got me interested, but it was definitely all of the YouTube series that kept me here long enough to get to know the place.
It's hard for me to say exactly what draws me to mers. I think they have that perfect blend of recognizable person and alien creature. There's some of that unknown allure that everything sea-related has. Plus it's a really simple concept that you can do a lot of different things with. Right now my main connection is through the internet. I do video reviews of mermaid webseries, mostly. It's really fun being able to give feedback and know your audience is listening, and since these kids are going to be our next generation of storytellers I want to encourage them. I don't have any tails myself, though since I'm craft-minded I may try to make one someday when I have enough money to not feel guilty about it.
