Obviously I'm new to the community so I figured I'd introduce myself. I decided to call myself Hydra for a number of reasons. The main reason is because I'm a huge fan of Agents of SHIELD even though I love Skye and Agent Coulson.

I joined at the end of October but haven't been hugely active until now because I had my first child (named Evelyn a.k.a. Evie) in early September. Unfortunately I don't have a tail yet but I plan to be as active as I can be on the forums until that day finally comes. Having a three month old won't make that easy but I intend to make the most of my time on here. I've already learned a lot about tailmaking and such just from following threads. Heck, when I first joined I didn't even know tails could be made out of silicone. XD

Hail hydra !!

:P I love shield mainly because it is so freaking diverse that I can actually say it with confidence!
i bet you didn't know agent daisy really is mixed in real life. She sang a lot of Cantonese pop back in the day.

I only found out for sure she was mixed in real life after I went to her IMDB. I'm mixed as well (half Filipino not Chinese) so I was pretty sure she was. Lol

I didn't know she sang Cantonese pop back in the day though. My husband will be happy to hear that. He has SUCH a crush on her. XD

You might be able to find her songs under her Chinese name (Chloe wang)

Welcome! do you have a monofin yet?

Thanks! Unfortunately I don't have one yet.

Since I'm a stay at home mom I was planning on doing art commissions until I could pay for one (or a whole fabric tail combo depending on the price). I'm in the process of building a mermaid-related portfolio to post in the forum. I already posted a completed tail design in the "Show us your tail designs!" thread.

I love your design! what kind of monofin were you thinking of getting? I was thinking of starting to make spandex and neoprene tails, but I would need testers.

Well my original plan was to have whatever tail I ended up going with (I have a sketchbook dedicated to tail designs) commissioned by someone so the monofin would be up to the tailmaker. All I ask for in a monofin is that it fits comfortably (7.5 women's), and gives me decent propulsion so I dont move as slow as a sea slug. As for the tail itself I started leaning towards the fabric or neoprene tails since they're what are recommended for a beginner and closer to my price range (once the money starts coming in).

Since you say you need testers feel free to PM me. Maybe we can work something out.
