So, I want to start a gaming YT. First, however, i need to make a gaming video worth watching and post it on my dad's YT before he thinks I'm worth the trouble.
So, I have some questions to get me started:
One: What PC/Mac filming program do you use? I use a PC, but I know some programs work for both. i use Windows 10
Two: (This question applies to anyone) What editing program do you use?
I already have an editing program, but it hasn't got much. I want an editing program that's
Cheap
Got a lot of cool font texts, colors, ect
The ability to add a facecam
The ability to add background music
The ability to draw or add cartoons
Anything similar!
If I think it's too expensive, I think it's too expensive, and I can't use it. If you think the editing system is expensive, don't recommend it. I get to decide after that. Also, if you could like me to it, that would be great
I'll add questions as I think of them. :)

Uhhh... I just film it on my phone camera and upload on youtube. Because that's all I have, in terms of technology.

I don't have channel (yet) but I've looked into most of this before.
Open Broadcaster Software is simple and free, though depending on your editor you might need a file converter. https://obsproject.com/
Not sure about editing software.

Good Luck!

If you need editing software to use I already have a copy of Sony Vegas Pro 13.0 installed on my PC. I used to make AMV's (anime music videos) and other stuff along those lines in my spare time. I have a few side projects in the works but here's the most recent video I made (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YF21mqlAXPk). I know it's a year old but video editing was never at the top of my list of hobbies.

I use Sony Movie Studio. It's basic, but has a lot of good features for anyone starting out. Add multi-tracks, multi videos and you could add face cam to it. I never add my face to my videos. Just the game video and audio and my voice track. Plenty of fonts (I think it uses the ones that your computer has installed, haven't looked into it) And video transition effects. It also has a lot of audio editing features and video effects. I honestly think it's a little over the top for what I need, But it's nice to know that I always have those options available.
As for adding cartoons or drawing with it, I don't know if it can do that. I'm no artist and have never tried exploring that area.

If this can help I use a free program called Fraps to record and Moviemaker to edit😊

Im a gaming YouTuber too, and at first its all about using what you have. I used the recording software on te Xbox One to record and edit, then used my OneDrive to send it over to my PC to add text by using CyberLink Editor (Its tricky to use) then upload 😅
I cant remember how much Cyber Link was at the time, but theres different versions for different prices. What Graphics card do you have? Because sometimes they have a capture software built in if they are dedicated to gaming

Also, and so many people overlook this, but sound is SO important. What you need to remember is that it's half of your entire video so if you don't have a good mic you'll never look professional I use a yeti and its beautiful. Also pop filter. ALL of the pop filter. You need one. You may not realise you do, but you do.

I'm not a gaming youtuber, but I use iMovie to edit my videos. It came with my phone. I upload my camera footage to my phone, edit, then upload to YouTube via the app.

I use FRAPS for footage, recording with the default voice recorder, and mix it up in basically any old video editing program I can find. I don't do facecam as of yet seeing as I've got a new video editing program but if I manage it, I may or may not do it, I'm not sure yet. Hope that helps. ^_^

When I was in school and first watched videos of gamers, I dreamed of creating my own YouTube channel to also post videos of me playing. By the way, I was playing csgo then. Now I don’t think that it would be interesting for me, although I still play cs go, sometimes I buy different cs go skins, for example, flip knife fade (https://dmarket.com/csgo-skins/product-card/flip-knife-fade), and perhaps many players would find it useful to watch.
Letīs playing is a new meta today. Previously, it was a good nische, a red ocean. However, today it is very hard to become popular among other "sharks" on a YT or Twitch platforms. There is a good website with https://newsmanagement.net/ articles regarding this sphere. I recommend you to read it :3

I can't say that I'm a fan of games in terms of gameplay. But I'm always interested in watching let's play, and I also have ideas for my own game. I found studio ilogos https://ilogos.biz/2d-animation-studio/ which provides a fairly wide range of services, including the development of 2D animation which is the basis of most games.
