Does the pod of oceania actually have an emblem thingy???

I didn't know this beforehand, but Mernetwork has a store that sells shirts etc with pod emblems on the front. I was kinda disappointed that the pod of oceania didn't have their own tshirt... so, I thought i should design one if we didn't have one already. I've designed logos for companies before and thought it would be good to take pride in where we come from. :eek: I have a really good design in mind. *squirts some octopus ink into an ink well*

I was under the impression we did. Only because I remember seeing something once and thinking that it was a bit meh. So I, for one, am happy for you to design a new one haha

The picture posted above (which I believe was the first cut of the coat of arms) is my favourite version so far, I like the seahorses and great white shark, I don't know what other fish could possibly be included but maybe some that can only be found in Australian waters (though Oceania represents some other regions too) like the blue ringed octopus and so on...

well, great whites are found in africa too so :/ I did have an idea that included a blue ringed octopus with curled arms in the shape of the coat of arms, but I cant think of what to put around it... possibly some plant life native to the area. I was thinking a pirate type vintage octopus thing... something like the picbelow but realistic.35209

I remember when we started designing one last time, I was hoping we would do an emblem because I wanted pod merchandise! I really like the idea of using animals that are only found in our waters.. like the leafy sea dragon or blue ringed octopus... and to make it look emblem-y. Im no good at designs BUT i do have an extremely talented friend if we get stuck =P

Thanks, I cant even see it, I was trying to set it up for the first time the other day and just figured it didnt work as nothing appeared. I have so much trouble figuring out this forum! Ill see what I can do - considering I cannot even see it! =S

Yes Mermaid Adrienne designed it. Im not sure if there is going to be an issue with MerNetwork using her design though as I believe the terms of use of the image she created was that she maintains ownership of the image, but grants MerNetwork to use it.
