Mermen with chest hair?

OK so a weird question I want to know if there are any other Mermen out there (those who actually swim in tails) who have chest hair? The only Merman photos I've seen so far are those with hair free chests be it waxed or natural. I know Mer folk are supposed to come in all shapes and sizes but this is like one of those things where all good looking male models have a waxed chest and so it becomes the ideal that us men are supposed to live up to. I want to know if any of you Mermen out there specifically wax your chest and if so why?

Chest hair is fine, back hair on the other hand....shudders....of course I'm a massage therapist soooooo, I have to run my fingers through men's back hair a LOT, it's not fun.

There's more that one reason for body hair...if you notice, hair grows in a hydrodynamic pattern for ease of movement through water...head hair, armpit hair, chest hair...what else is a baby mer going to cling to when its parent needs to swim away quickly? Body hair does help to keep you warm though so it's definitely an advantage for the cooler climate mers!

Leomar, I wish I had a good photo to show you of the gentlemen who attended MerMania earlier this month. I think a good majority had chest hair! Shave/wax if you want, but definitely don't do anything that would make yourself uncomfortable just to fit in with what you think is the ideal merman!

Leomar, my mermen would probably be extremely jealous of your chest hair. They got into a heated debate the other day over who had more. I think the winner counted six..... :rolleyes:
