Agency for UK Mermaids - NO JOINING FEE! Mermaids needed for work ASAP!

Hi Guys!

So I am the founder of Hire A Mermaid UK - the UK's only mermaid entertainer agency!
It started off as just myself back in 2014, but in 2015 I received some funding and support from some lovely business big wigs, and now it's growing so fast I can barely keep up!

I have been given the go ahead to change from an 'exclusivity' company to an agency! And the website is currently being updated with lots of new mermaids. And I need more!

Mermaids are especially needed in the East Midlands, North of England and Scotland - but any part of the UK will be considered!
Freediving qualifications are preferred but if you have no formal qualifications yet you are very experienced, you will also be considered!
You will just need to prove your ability by submitting evidence.

Full training will be given! (this is for hosting children's parties - I'm afraid swimming in a mermaid tail is a skill you already need to have)
You also need to own your own swimmable mermaid tail.

There is no joining fee, just a few rules/guidelines. And should you be offered representation and you choose to accept, a deposit is required for the equipment I supply you with. As soon as you no longer wish to receive work from Hire A Mermaid UK you simply return the equipment to us and then you get your deposit back :)

Pay is between £50-£100+++ depending on the length you are needed/the size of the event!

Work varies from children's swimming parties, land appearances, photoshoots etc!

I'm expanding my books because new bookings are coming in every day and Hire A Mermaid UK will be getting a magazine feature in 2-3 months time, so I need to make sure I have enough mermaids after the publicity!

Hahaha Storm! I'd be curious to know what YOU think the qualifications would be for a Merman. We come in all shapes and forms, you know!

To be a merman? Very little, just having a tail.

To be a professional? For me, in this particular case, the shortfalls include:
Not living in the UK. Its not like I'm going to quit my job and move.
Being a mediocre swimmer. I certainly cannot demonstrate I am a good swimmer.
Not being free diving certified.
Not having a high quality tail.

The last three could be dealt with. But would I want to? Well, at least I want a good tail. But would I want to put in the effort be go pro? First, I need to consider if I would get any jobs. Here, it looks bleak. I'm 60, and overweight. I could easily find I put in quite a bit of effort for zero return.
Next, would I enjoy it? The idea of being paid for my hobby always sounds enticing. Ive done it before (radio controlled blimps). But then I think about the reality, it looks different. There is quite a bit of preperation for every job. Next, I would essentially be on stage, performing, for an hour or two. It just does not feel like something I would enjoy.

Is it possible to join, if you can swim in a mermaid tail, did it for a year now, but haven't yet had the chance to do public/official gigs (just for friends, family, etc.)?

It is possible if you can prove your abilities. I will be setting up a training day so if you were able to prove that you were capable on that day then of course you could join!

I had a quick look at your page and it says you are 17? Do you mind me asking when you turn 18?

Tail and accessories just need to be convincing and look good both on land and in water. Doesn't have to be too advanced :)Xx
