I live in California, and have used it in St Croix. Well, as far away as Barbados if you count using while in the cruise ship pool, which was at Barbados.

I haven't been on holiday with my tail. The furthest pool I've swam in, was when I lived on the Central Coast and had to travel 40mins in the car (1 hr by bus), to the club swimming pool. Which is the only one open all year round.

I've taken my tail up to Cairns (3hr drive) to swim at Green Island on the Great Barrier Reef, so not that far from home but was great fun and the other tourists got a kick out of it.
However, in April I'm off to Fiji and planning on taking my silicone tail if it's here in time

I took my tail with me on the Disney Fantasy, where I took it to the Caribbean.

Did they let you use it?

Actually, yeah.

My parents called ahead of time and asked about it, and we were told that only fabric tails were allowed. I brought the silicone tail anyways, and didn't have any issues. 35281

Conchas Chinas here, but I've also swam at la Playa de los Muertos, Mismaloya, and the Hidden Beach. I love Mexico; super bummed I can't make it back this year...

I live in Missouri, and took my tail to Disney World when we stayed in the Finding Nemo suites at Art of Animation. They wouldn't let me swim with it, but I was allowed to wear my tail and get some seriously adorable photos on the playground that looked like a coral reef!

Ex-Disney world lifeguard here. They also ban flippers and snorkels in the resorts for safety and liability reasons. It sucks, but the rules are uniform throughout the resorts. Your best bet is to swim in the "quiet pools" after hours. They aren't deep, but they aren't guarded, either.

A hotel in Florida! There were these cute kids who tried on my tail. They were SO amazed that the thing existed!
