Hello mers!
My name is Tasha and I'm from the US but I'll be studying abroad in Auckland this upcoming semester and I plan on doing a lot of traveling around New Zealand and surrounding areas! I would love any advice, tips, etc (I know mermaid suits are currently banned in Auckland..bummer) from any of you, and if any of you want to plan on meeting up sometime here are where I'll be when:

Feb 18 Arrival in Auckland
Feb 19-21 Bay Islands
March 19-20 Marae
March 25-29 Byron Bay
April 16-21 Bali
April 22-24 Rotorua
June 4-8 Cairns
June 28 Depart for USA

I also plan on going to Fiji and Samoa while I'm there, but no set dates yet. I will be traveling around New Zealand or staying in Auckland all other days from Feb 18-June 28.

I do plan on bringing one tail with me, but for packing purposes I can't bring more than 1.

Byron Bay like east coast of Aus? I'm pretty close to there, if I'm free I'd be happy to come down and maybe do a photo shoot for you? I took some photos of Mermaid Kelda last year and had a lot of fun doing it :)

I live just out of Auckland! I haven't finished my tail yet but if you want any advice on places to go in Auckland I'm happy to help.

Also, tails are only banned from council run pools, you may be able to find a privately run pool to swim in and if not we're surrounded by beautiful beaches :)

No. My pool is council run. And I have no problems tail or fin swimming there.
