Pool ban help?

Hello :)

I know this is brought up many times, but I can't find the threats anymore, sry.

I recently went to a pool with my tail, started swimming and then the lifeguard said that monofins and things that tie your legs together are forbidden. I use this pool just for workout now.
Near there there is another pool. I would like to find out if I can use a monofin/tail there. Do you have any idea on how to persuade them? I thought about not assuming that it would maybe be forbidden, but just asking when and so on.
Could someone send me please the link for the page with the references for pool bans and things that would allow to use your mermaid tail?

Thank you very much, this helped a lot! I'm from the UK :)

I wrote an email to the leisure centre and they asked me if I could send them pictures of the tail to see if it could be a hazard to other swimmers (I am the only one swimming in a tail out of my swimming companions).
