Hi all! I have a problem that has honestly been driving me nuts. My plane has started vibrating a bit while flying and I think it is related to the propeller. I have heard that you can field balance it but I don't know where to start. Has anyone had a similar situation and knows where to find some helpful instructions or tips?

Hi! I had a similar situation and found a great resource that really helped me figure it out. There is an article on the site that goes into detail on how to perform a propeller balancing in the field. It covers both the basic steps and the more complex issues that you might encounter along the way. It is very helpful that everything is explained step by step and there are recommendations on the tools that you can use. I recommend you check out this resource on Propeller imbalance (https://vibromera.eu/example/on-balancing-the-propeller-of-the-aircraft-in-the-field-environment-part-1/); it has been very helpful for me.

Propeller balancing is an important part of aircraft maintenance, especially when vibration issues arise. Performing this procedure correctly in the field helps avoid further problems and improves flight safety. It is important to follow proven methods and use quality tools to ensure the reliability and durability of the equipment. This approach allows you to minimize risks and keep the aircraft in good condition.
