First Swimmable Tail

So I have made dry land tails and I think I am ready to start of making my first swimmable tail. I want to use neoprene and sequins much inspired by Hannah Frasers tails. Is there any advice you guys could give me?

Sewing is stronger much longer than gluing, use fishing line, use a long piece of thread and knot after every sequin, also buy your sequins in bulk from china. Just don't get sequins that are metallic because the color rubs/scratches off super easy.

I'd have to recommend that you modify your fluke design a bit. I'm not sure if you're aware of this since you seem to be pretty new here, but that looks very similar to the fluke design that Mertailor stole from Mermaid Lorelei a few years ago. I'm not concerned about Mertailor's feelings, but Lorelei is a really good friend of mine and I know how upsetting it was for her when her design was stolen.

Yup, I figured it was old enough that by now a lot of people might've forgotten, and newer members wouldn't have heard of it. I just know it was unbelievably frustrating and upsetting for Lorelei, who is incredibly creative and sweet and would never rip anyone off like Merfartface did. And there was nothing she could do about it legally, so every time this design comes up it must be like pouring salt on the wound :(

I did not know that! Yikes. Yeah I think I will be changing the fluke to fit my monofin better anyway. How unfortunate that her design was stolen! Thank you for letting me know.
