Glossary of most used mermaid terms

For the resource section of my book, I want to have a glossary of terms used specifically in the mer-community or in mer business. Not stuff you'd see in fantasy books etc, but terms we use all the time or often enough that others may not know. I'm also thinking of the names of materials and tools we use like "dragonskin" which may not be known to others.

I already have a list going, but if you have any ideas please put them here because I want to make sure I cover everything.

Two to add to the list:

Tail-swimming: A gender neutral version of Mermaiding.
Bubble kiss: Making a bubble ring in the shape of a heart with the proper hand motion.
