Hi everyone!
I am new to mernetwork, but i have always been in love with mermaids (probably because I'm one myself) since i was very little. My mom would tell me that whenever her best friend/neighbour would come over with her baby daughter (around my age) she would always find me watching none other than The Little Mermaid, of course. Sometimes, she even thought that it was the only movie i had!! Anyways, I would attempt to use random things (blanket, mega large plastic bags, cardboard for fins...etc) to make anything remotely similar to a mermaid tail, since at the time the thought of wearable mermaid tails seemed like a fantasy.

But, one day, somehow i stumble across a website that would play the sounds of the crashing waves on the homepage with silhouettes of mermaids scattered all over the page. As soon as I saw the photos of people wearing mermaid tails and knew that the store sold mermaid tails, it felt like a priceless discovery!!!

I just always loved the sea and everything about it. I love coral reefs, fishies, dolphins and sharks:shark:
I'm planning on eventually getting a silicone tail from Merbellas since Raven has the absolute most beautiful fluke designs I've ever laid eyes on :rainbow: Until then, Ill be designing and playing around with multiple color themes for my tail. Mostly iridescence, blues and/or lavender.

Forgot to mention, I am trying to come up with a mer name for myself. I like certain gemstones that reflect a little bit of my personality but also has similar visual properties as my future tail :swoon: which will be mega-iridescent but color shifting too (like those pretty duochrome eyeshadows and reflects pigments from MAC). The actual colors though are going to be shades of blues (aqua/turquoise/teal) or lighter shades of purple.
So i found these names of gemstones but have trouble tweaking them somehow into a pretty name :Opal, Aura, Chalcopyrite (peacock ore), moonstone
I'd really like to know what your opinions are or if you have any ideas, i'm open :D

I picked my name Selene because it's a name of a moon goddess so I thought the moon mixed nicely with mermaids. I like your idea of your tail and name it's very unique and beautiful. [emoji5]

Betta fish certainly are beautiful! I remember when I was little and my Dad got me a betta, and I insisted that he get me a bright blue one haha.

I chose Salacia because she was the wife of Neptune in Roman mythology - literally the Sea Goddess for the Romans. I love sea urchins and stingrays so am choosing darker colours (blacks, silvers, purples) for my tail and accessories. I love betta fish, I've had a few! Though I used to have bright ginger hair so always had dreams of having a goldfish tail - maybe one day!

hmm, interesting...I adore betta fish but never had one. Now I'm conflicted on my tail colors :( i don't know whether to go with 1)teals/blues/hint of light purple or 2)rose gold, gold and hint of pink... thing is that people tend to complement me whenever I wear a bright turquoise color since it complements my fair skin and dark (almost black) hair and eyes.

I don't know what to do!!!
