Mer Meet

Hey everyone.

So as most of you are aware there is going to be a Mercon Australia event in November in Busselton W.A.
While it's great that Fifi, Amelia and Jess are setting this up we're aware that not everyone is in a financial position to travel over that way. And we know it's hard for Mers in North QLD because you'd need to get connection flights and all.

So Ally and I are trying to organise a mini Mer Meet for the first weekend of November (Friday the 4th to Sunday the 6th). We're looking at holding it on the Sunshine Coast.
Now, while it won't be a Mercon, it's just a chance to meet up with other mers and have a weekend away. This is an open event and anyone is welcome.

We'd love to know numbers so we can organise accomodation, food and maybe an activity (besides swimming), also what you'd be willing/able to spend to attend so we can keep in under budget

If finances are still zero by then, I won't be going to either! I'll just hang around at my local pool, flipping tricks and taunting the kids.

It's tough. Regardless of what anyone does, it's going to be expensive for someone.

We figure if we offer something for us here on the East Coast, hopefully not so many miss out.
