Mermaid Head piece idea: Your thoughts?

Everyone has seen candle rings, right? I was browsing through my local craft store when I saw the most beautiful fake seaweed and shell cadle ring, I suddenly got this random idea to try it on! My mom said it looked great and now I want to make my own as a headpiece! Here I will be sharing all of my progress here and, if I need help, I know you mers will be here supporting me (you mers are good people <3)
Any way,the picture below is sorta kinda the idea I'm going for but maybe more fake seaweed and less shells as well as fake pearls...

That is soooooo pretty! Are you planning on using waterproof materials to make it? The reason I ask is the paper coating on many of these pre-made craft wire things might come off in the water. But maybe a good soaking in the sink could get it off and you'd be all set!

Plastic everything and tie everything together with fishing line, them's my tips for waterproofing. Yep.

If you bought it glued down, reglue it something waterproof. China glue never lasts.

I was thinking about spraying the circlet with glitter...what kind of spray glitter would hold up the best in the water and stick to plastic? What kind of wire (or whatever) should I use to make the base of the circlet? How should I hold down the seaweed and the shells and pearls, special glue? maybe clear wire? Idk... Thanx (in advance) for the help!! :)

you could use a hanger that you rebend for the base wire. trying to keep it cheap. don't know about the spray glitter though. if you've ever heard about liquid nail glue or something, that works the best for underwater, just make sure you apply it dry! the fishing line in a good idea but i would use black because its harder to see, weird i know but true.
