Great news,I have gallery representation for my art.

I have gallery representation for my art..I have my paper sculptures in a great gallery in Indianapolis..It was serenditious series of events that led us to find it.. As you know I've been battling cancer for 2.5 years and we drive almost 4 hours for treatment to Indy..We'd pass this gallery on the way to Simon Cancer Center so one day we decided to stop..We'd seen the fabulous artwork in the windows, pieces from Frederick Hart, Tuan Nguyen,Salvador Dali,Bill Mack, Moreau, Rodin and others.. So we just had to stop..


While there he showed us the artworks and showed us a few pieces from new artists. I asked if they were taking on new artists,he said they were.. so I showed him some of my work, he seemed interested and asked me to email info and pix. After viewing them,he asked if we could bring in a couple to see.. I had a doctor's appointment so we brought some things, he liked them and worked out terms..I had a few things to finish and brought 6 pieces..He has 5 listed and will put the 6th one on too.

This is a real gallery with some big names,I still can't believe it..I tried years ago and couldn't get anyone to look, didnt' really try and got in..

I'm taking a break from my commissioned pieces and gallery work to start a new painting today. This piece will be sent to Ohio and auctioned off to raise money for Duchennes. a particularly aggressive form of Muscular Dystrophy that attacks primarily very young boys with gradual deterioration and a very grim prognosis. I only have a couple weeks to complete it and have decided to break the work down into 4 smaller paintings that will work as one piece and will be in the contemporary abstract style as my other work. I have to admit, I have some anxiety over this project in particular as it needs to appeal to a wider range of people to raise more and I am not familiar with the Ohio market at all. Wish me luck...
