My monofin won't stay on my feet!

So I am aware that neoprene socks are really good at keeping the heels straps onto my feet, but is there a substitution for those that I can use? Just until I can order a pair.

Thick sport socks. I used these until I got 3mm neoprene socks for use with my merfin.

they vary in shape and size. you can get half socks, ankle socks, full socks
