Just thought I'd go ahead and get the page started for this in case anyone wanted to discuss trends and changes in the roles women have played over the years as well as female role models.
Any facts, figures, tables, charts, etc. etc. etc. :P
And I'll start by bringing up Annette Kellerman who is one of the largest (if not the largest) mermaid inspirations for me. Bluntly, she kicked ass. I know Raina has done some lovely write-ups about her if you'd like to take a look.
