I'm so glad everyone like the concept. I came up with several different one before deciding on this one. I made it and was like

"Oh sweet goddess of the sea pealie, please make this for me."

Though I might change up the upper fins and fluke, just not sure how yet....hmm.....

My hair is blue/black with green, purple and a little pink underneath so it'll match the tail design really well and why I like the peal ideal because it would add in that starry look. ^^.

So these are the three different fin designs I've been playing with. I'm keeping the color scheme, because I love it to much to change it. The fins however I wasn't in love with as much as I would have liked. Don't get me wrong I like them a lot (except the pectorals...they seems strange to me....). So I decided to play around with fin designs a little.

The first one I like because it would keep to the northern lights look a little better then the others because it's more...flowy? I like this ideal, but I would want to play around with it a little more I think...maybe.

The second one I really like because it would bee something that hasn't been tried yet (which is part of the reason why I kinda don't want it because I don't know if it can be done....) The pectoral fins would connect all around the waist, besides the little bit in the front and would almost be like a skirt almost (not sure if I'm explaining this well or if you can see it). I think it would be an awesome ideal, but as stated not sure if it can even be done.

The third one is more simple but not sure if it would be a good fit for the color scheme I have. The dots/circles would be wholes in the tail or white to signify stars.

What do you guys think, the original, one of these or should I continue to play around more?

Oooh! I like the waist fin thingy! I'm going to have to look closer when I'm on the big computer, I'm trapped on my tiny phone right now!

I have a fin color idea I want to test before I show you, but I think it could be really different than anything else out there!

Re: third design: holes could be problematic as they could (edit: I meant TEAR, not treat) easily, but instead of holes, dots of bright silver holographic glitter could represent stars, instead!

I LOVE the second idea with the waist pectoral fin, and I love the idea of the holes or spots from the third set. But the second design overall has a beautiful shape to it. Such a cool idea!

I like the idea of the waist fins and how they attach all the way around. It is different and interesting! :)

I love all the designs - I actually still love the first design!

If you really want holes in the fins I'd imagine it should be doable. As long as you're using a strong non-stretch fabric in between the silicone pieces of the fins that should make it more resistant to tearing.

Having said that I've got to admit I've never been too keen on the holes in fins - just makes me think 'fin rot'! [emoji38][emoji85][emoji87]

I'd love to see little sparkly stars all around the fin edges though - different colours to match the northern lights!

However you end up doing it Pearlie, I can't wait to see the finished result!

I really like the second/waist one. :) Even if Pearlie can't find a way (pffft can those words even go together?! lol), I really think it'd look cool to have two pec fins layered right on top of each other like that (that's what I thought it was at first hehe). And I still do love the original design and the third drawing looks pretty awesome too. :)

So a little happy update, I've got sample scales In the other day and oh my god are they gorgouse in person!!! I'm over my head in love with them. I squeeled when I saw them and scared my kitties and the hubby. It was embarrassing and entertaining!! Uhg I just so happy.
