Childs Party, or mermaid meeting kids

Hello all. So i got asked to show up at a local pools reopening in my mer-tail. anyways there are going to be alot of kids the newspaper possible tv reporters as well. So my main focus is on the kids and making sure they have a blast meeting a mermaid for the first time. Do you all have any ideas of games we could play, sea stores or songs, or maybe fun little things I can do with them? I figured i'd make necklaces and pins for the hair for people but i'd like to do more then just that.

If you go to Raina's business site there's a bunch of stuff she does which is pretty awesome (I'm going over them now. Mermaid makeovers, mermaid gift bags, and the like)
i know a few mers do story times. I think I suggested playing octopus and other games like "what time is it mister kraken?" in another thread. Definitely check out the professional mermaiding threads though.

odd i thought i posted it in a thread o-o couldnt find it.
Anyway, It's just a variation of "what time is it mr wolf?" except you change it to Kraken :P The children will stay at the back of the room and you use one child (maybe the bday child) to be the wolf/kraken faced to the wall on the opposite side of the room.
then the kids ask "WHAT TIME IS IT MR/MRS. KRAKEN?" then when the child says "it's # oclock" the children take that many steps towards the kraken.
Here's the trick: The kraken can change that to "IT'S LUNCH TIME" whenever the child feels like they are able to catch another child to be the next kraken. the other kids have to swim away :P it'll depend on how many steps the other kids take.
