Have you guys seen these scale tights?!

So these tights have been surfacing recently a lot in my Facebook news feed...and they're kinda awesome! Silicone scales on nylons. Now I'll be honest, I'd thought of doing something similar but not on tights. These are from the etsy store tinkercast. Right now it seems she only has a listing for one style and they're going for about 70 us dollars a pop. Still awesome.

Tights rip soooo easily. I feel like I'd only be able to wear em once then I'd just cut them off and glue them to me

As cool as they are personally the scales seem too blunt (if thats the right word) where they end, as they look thick.

Pretty cool! I always carry some clear nail varnish with me incase they ladder so it stops them getting worse.

I've seen those and decided to make my own personal pair of silicone scale leggings to go with my ariel top. (Decided this after my boss at the gym didn't like my ariel shell top because of the shell placement (um what?). :P lol) I'm putting fins on mine too, I hadn't seen her finned pair before! They're awesome.

I wonder if they're dance tights? I grew up as a dancer for 9 years, and it was rare I got a hole or catch in tights like that--they're known for being a lot more durable. Now that I'm older and have owned a pair of like, Target sheer tights, I feel the same as Raina. :/

That's what I was thinking! I was trying to think of a way to do it with power mesh tights but it all seemed too complicated. Lol. And I thought about just making scales to glue to my legs but then I feel like it would take a while and I don't really go out enough to spend that much time on my legs lol.

I though the same thing. Like, the edge/beginning of the scale should taper down to look more natural rather than have a flat edge.

I saw those too. I kind of wanted a pair until I saw the price... then I remembered that I hardly ever wear skirts... so it wasn't worth it for me but if anyone else decides to order them I would love to see pictures and a review. :D
