*fin slap*
Hello everyone! Here is my review of my newest monofin. The Sun Tail Nunui Monofin.
And it is roughly the same size as the adult Mahina Merfin. It also fits inside a Magictail skin. Not sure about the Fin Fun tail skin, as I've altered the fluke on mine, so I can't show you whether it fits or not.
1st link is the monofin review. 2nd link is the monofin inside a Magicatail.

Yay! Thank you for this, Jaffa! I just got mine last week but I haven't gotten a chance to swim in it yet b/c I've been sick this week :( But this weekend or Monday at the latest, I'll get to swim in mine! :)

Would you say this has more propulsion than the fin fun one? I am deciding between the two, and will probably choose whichever gives a stronger push. Also, what size are your feet? My feet are really small, size 6 and I'm concerned that they will slide out of the pockets while I'm swimming.

My feet size is 7.5. It def has more propulsion than the old Fin Fun one, the old one being the clear polycarbonate fin. I like the Sun Tail monofin better because, it is slightly bigger than the Fin Fun one and the feet don't slide around as much as the Fin Fun where it has no foot pockets at all.

I got to swim in my Sun Tail monofin this morning! :D I definitely felt a little of the tilting problem Jaffa talked about in her video. It wasn't too bad, since I was just swimming laps, and I'd just flap a hand out a couple times to straighten my line back out, but I'm concerned about trying a barrel roll. I also found that my feet kept sliding out a bit - not completely out of the pockets, but the neoprene around my ankles wouldn't stay "up" and felt sort of like a sock sliding down, and it was a little worrisome. I'm wondering how much of that problem is due to the fact that my short feet don't reach the middle strap, so I only have one strap helping keep my feet in. :/ I might try to jerry-rig an extra strap around the backs of my ankles to see if that helps with one or both of these problems. BUT! TONS of fun!! Amazing propulsion!! (Of course, I can only compare to swimming with bare feet but it was still super awesome!) I can't wait to get back in the pool again!

One solution I'm thinking of right now, before I glue anything onto the fin. That is to, place my feet inside the foot pockets, trace around my feet with a washable crayon, then zigzag stitch around the outline. If it still doesn't work out, my end solution is to glue on a pair of swim fins or water shoes of some kind so my feet stays secure and not tilt whilst swimming.
