Help identifying this scale fabric!

Bit of an odd question.A friend of mine wants to make a tail, but wants to try and match this fabric for a piece of clothing he already owns.

The binder is from Shapeshifters (http://shapeshiftersinc.storenvy.com/products/12585078-mer-scale-binder), all their other scale binders are the familiar hologram print. But I don't recognize this fabric print. Anybody know where it's from/where to get more? (Shapeshifters has been emailed to ask, but has not responded.)

Ive never seen it! you might be able to recreate it on spoonflower with a little graphic art know-how ;)

It looks like the tails you can buy on aliexpress or ebay.

I've seen that exact fabric for sale on ebay usa...search "scale fabric" to find it.
