Im planning to have about 2 blue/black type tails (one fabric and one silicone) in my "mermaid arsenal" (lol) among the other 3 which have hints of blue in them (have you guessed my favorite color yet?)

I plan to buy this fabric type: http://spandexworld.com/c3/catalog/product/8501

So Since i've decided to make a "dry" tail. I know its going to take some time, im not quite finalizing the "fluke" yet, but here's a rough "draft" of the tail i plan to begin working on. Any thoughts/suggestions are always welcome.

ps- this is part of my so called "abstract" ( more like inspired by abstract art) series, I've painted one similar in pink and purple. But I love blue.

Will the black lines form part of the pattern on the finsihed tail?

Now there's an interesting thought. Where did you get the inspiration for this unique tail?

@ Nate something like that I suppose, the lines are suppose to go around the tail.

@Sirena I got the idea from a library book my niece has, she loves all typesof art especially anything with lines and swirls, and just contrast. I ran across something that caught my attention, it looked similar to this pattern, but with different hues of Blue and black http://us.123rf.com/400wm/400/400/claudiodivizia/claudiodivizia1003/claudiodivizia100300481/6677782-abstract-color-background-in-black-red-blue-yellow-white.jpg

Lania- I would not reccomend purchasing that material, due to the fact that the fabirc pattern is foiled, when stretched the material's pattern cracks and the appearance isn't very appealing :(

lol Aqua nothing is set in stone at the moment, the fabric i plan to buy is more of an idea than anything else, who knows itmight end up being part of the "top" or something else.
