Josephine McKim played the mermaid. Anybody know what other movie with a mermaid she was in?

There was a mermaid in bride of Frankenstein? I haven't seen that movie. How does a mermaid relate to the story?

In the movie "Bride of Frankenstein", Dr. Pretorius shows his credentials: people 6" tall he had made. One of these was a mermaid.

Here's a cool shot.

In 1948 Mr. Peabody and the Mermaid was shooting in a building near Abbott and Costello Meet Frankenstein on the Universal Studios lot in Hollywood, so Ann Blyth had a shot taken with Frankenstein as her mertender

But back to Josephine McKim, people think of her as an actress, but it's not well known that she was on the US Olympic swim team in the 1920s and won several medals.

She was a mermaid in Bride of Frankenstein (1935) one of the Boris Karloff classics, and also in The King Steps Out (1936)

She also did an underwater ballet, among other scenes, in one of the Tarzan classics: Tarzan and his Mate (1934)
