hello!this may have been asked before, but I'm wondering if plasticine clay can be used as a cast. we regularly use it to make a mould, but use something else like plaster or fiberglass to make the cast. I would like to make a cast out of a maluble, sculpt able material. basically, if I make a cast out of clay, and pour silicone directly on it, will it still cure without issue? thanks in advance!

It should, I think Wesley did some one-off casts like that. Do a small test! I'm curious to find out!
I think it would be a one-time thing, and you'd have to sculpt in negative, and that's double tough.

I've cast on it before and it cures just fine, but the texture wasn't as shiny/smooth as it is with resin and as Pearlie said, casting the negative of the shape you want is especially difficult but I'm sure it's possible to do quite well! Good luck!! I hope that helps!! :)
