So I figured I'd start a new thread on myself making my forearm scale/fin bracelets. These pictures are of what I have so far. I not too happy about how my mold came out.
My proces so far
step one make a scale sheet from clay (I use air dry clay) with a barrier so I could pour the molding plaster
step two Coat clay with Vaseline so the plaster won't stick (I coated the board I was working on and the barrier too
step three use a blow dryer to thin out the Vaseline and hopefully push it into and small spaces I missed
Step four I poured the plaster ( this step took about 4-5 pounds of plaster of Paris)
step three.
Step five pulling the mold. I was happy it didn't distory the clay but the mold did break a little

THis is a really good step of the plaster pouring! I can't wait to see the bracers you create! :)

Well after looking over the mold I decided I am going to try a different method. I'm thinking single scales will work better. So far I have created my negative. I made two different sizes one for this project and a bigger one for hopefully for my fit tailhttp://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160521/35f924086e3b05492b9f040d3f4129fb.jpg

Well I ended up casting both scales cause I mixed up to much plaster and this how it turned out. I'm decently happy with the small scale mold but iffy about the larger one. What do y'all think should I recast it?http://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20160522/89d4edf493e0dbbfc42c808cedf3f236.jpg
