Modest scale tops?

Hey, so my sister and want to buy some fabric mermaids tails, but I can't find a good place to find matching scale tops that cover the belly. (Before y'all go off on the "don't be ashamed of your body" rant, let me explain that it's for religious reasons.) So... any suggestions?

Fin Fun has tankinis that go with their scale tails. Or you can buy regular tankinis and decorate them yourself.

Or buy matching one piece swimwear, or make your own.

Google "modest swimwear" and you'll come up with lots of results.

If you are still searching, I second Fin Fun. I have had 2 tails from there. While I have not gotten a tankini, they do have them. I havr a bikini top and bottoms and they both cover my body nicely instead of anything hanging out. The only bad thing is they only have sizes for average and small people and nothing larger (that is custom territory for them).

Do you want a fabric top? You can always check out Amazon or Etsy for a modest one-piece or tankini top in a coordinating color to your tail and add your own embellishments

My little cousin has a "bikini" top that is actually a skin-tone tankini that she can tuck into her tail. If you're looking for the classic "mermaid look" you can always do that.
You could also try a high-waisted tail! I love high waisted tails, personally. All of mine come up to my ribs at least, and I think they look great! :)

PS I think it's great that you're simultaneously enjoying the mer-world and still sticking to your religious beliefs!! :)

If you still can't find any that would suit your beliefs, you can buy a rash shirt and decorate it. Or buy the muslim swimwear, that outfit covers all! Arms, legs, neck and head, you could also alter it and decorate.

Oooo I just remembered I had a job in 2012 at a kindergarten that wanted me to be more covered. So I bought a nude colored leotard and wore it under my tail, and just wore my shell bra over top. You could always do something similar.

Thanks, everyone! I've looked at Fin Fun, which is just what I was looking for! I may also take Mermaid Jaffa's advice and decorate my rash shirt.

I don't currently have a top that covers my belly, but I've been doing library storytimes and needed to cover up a bit more for them. I used a coin scarf and tied it right under my bust and it worked pretty much perfectly.
