Hey fin friends!

I'm looking at making or commissioning my first fabric tail. My Mersona is a darkly inclined gal, so am wanting a tail that is sleek. I was considering stretch leatherette in black because I like the texture, but I'm unsure how the fabric would work and last for use in the water.

Has anyone tried it? What was your experience?

Leather shrinks when drying. There are some neoprene fabrics that have textures on them. You could try that instead of fake leather.

I was wondering about the same but didn't get around soaking a piece of this in water yet to test :)
