Tips to keep a strapless bra up while swimming?

Hi everybody,

I love the look of a strapless mer-top, but I'm worried I'll end up with the top around my bellybutton.

How do you keep the top up? Or should I just buy a tiny band size?

Adhesive bras are also an option :) But i'm not sure where you'd get those.

Most adhesive bra's I've seen are only the boob part, without a band around the back. I don't trust a bra without a band [emoji4]

Maybe it easier to coat the inside of a strapless bra with silicone, so it's kinda sticky?

Silicone will cure, so that's not a good idea. You can buy some to adhesive online :)

I don't wear those kinds so I don't know if it'll stay on when swimming. The second link, is a proper bra but they replaced all the straps with clear ones.

Whoops I only noticed one link on my phone. I see so many people swim with strapless bra's, so I can't imagine that no boobies have been flashed like ever. I most happen a ton of times. Or is it only me ;-)

Also, if you don't like the thin straps on the 2nd one, you can get wider ones from a sewing shop. Just ask for clear elastic.

I bought this one, buuut... let's just say if you're on the bigger size of boobies it will just not work. I'm a bit bummed about it but even if this will ever manage to pull my girls close together they will be still hanging around if you know what I mean... not cool. :( I guess my wish of a completely natural skin coloured, scale covered boobies is going to remain a dream!

Can you sew? Becaus otherwise you can construct a bra and use a skin coloured mesh in all the places you want to have bare skin. I don't know if it will do the trick, but the idea popped up

I bought the biggest sized granny underpants today... A size 22!
After getting inspired by watching youtube where the ladies were diy-ing giant panties and swim pants into bikini tops! The one I got is similar to the style below and also got a tankini style shapewear top with built in bra. Because I am failing at making my own tops so far!

Yep, this has totally happened to me. I have a strapless top from MerNation, and I have to watch how fast I swim, or else my boobs make a cameo appearance. Lots of underwater "fixing".

Sorry forgot to add this ages ago when I saw this thread. Hannah Mermaid uses clear stretchy beading string to hold on her strapless tops. I think Kariel may use this trick too.

I use clear bra straps. You can put powder over them to get rid of the shine. They're close to invisible in photos

Powermesh! If you don't want to use straps, find a powermesh that is your skin tone and create an over the shoulder piece. It's awesome stuff! You should be able to find some in 15-20 denier, which is almost 100% see-through. The other option is, of course, clear bra straps. if you can find some matte finish ones, they disappear under water!
