So I have seen around that you seal shells with epoxy resin, but I wasn't sure on the steps? Do you paint it on or pour? What about the edges? How much do you need to coat a set of lion paw shells?

I appreciate the help or tips and if you seal your shells differently I'd like to hear that too!

Also use a natural bristle brush you cover everything I even put a little inside to coat the inside of the shell the better coating you do the better protected your shell will be

Thank you so much for the help! Is there a particular brand to use or just any clear resin coat will do? The small one at Hobby Lobby is easy cast and it's smallest is 8 ounces. Is that enough?

The one I got was the pouring kind there are two bottles make sure to get plastic cups and stir sticks or plastic spoons u need to hand mix the liquid inside for 2 mins before using it . But the kind I used was just a basic clear kind yes 8 oz will be enough u only use a very small amount I did two lion paws with one oz so it came out to two oz total and I did about a dozen different sized shells with the same mix . Make sure to get all the edges all the bumps all the cracks take your time. When you dip your brush in to the liquid scrape off any extra residue and do small strokes over the show. You don't want to clog it on and do a thick coat because it will run down and brunch at the bottom of your show and then you Will either have to sand it off or use a drumroll to get it off. So make sure you do a thin coat. It is normally said that you do too thin coats letting it dry completely between each coat I only did one though and it seems to work perfectly fine is up to your preference
