What makes you want to watch Mermaid Videos?

What about mermaid video's engage you? Is it the mermaid, the tail, the music, the way they swim, etc.

I'm really curious because it seems some videos do really well and others do not. I'd love to get some opinions on what makes a good mermaid video and what keeps you watching.

For me it's the story behind it if we are talking movies. If videos in general I like when they swim with realism meaning not bending at the knee actually swimming like a real mermaid and location or the way u set things up could affect the video big time

The way they swim. Regardless of what quality of tail they have on. I always check for how they swim, because its something I want for myself to aim for. That smooth, even gliding, elegant way of mermaid swimming.

I personally don't watch mermaid videos. For me, a lot of mers don't swim 'naturally' enough, which you really can't do anything about given human anaotomy. I am sure I am the odd one out. I will take drawn art or a cartoon or something over real people anyday :cool:

I watch them to study how I could possibly modify tailmaking to make better tails. So, for me, it's research.

I watch for a variety of reasons. I do like watching mers practice swimming in a pool to see their technique and how they practice. The videos I enjoy the most are those in an interesting location with a lot of good camera angles. The videos where the camera person is following the mer the whole time so all you ever see is a behind shot of their tail gets boring to me and I normally don't watch the full video if that is the only shot. I like seeing side shots to see their movement, and I like seeing front shots of them swimming towards the camera. Shots looking up at the mer and looking down on them are cool too.

The tail doesn't really matter to me unless if I am specifically looking up what a certain tail looks like in action. I will watch videos of simple fabric tails all the way up to elaborate silicone tails.
