I received my tail before christmas this year and wanted to share my story.
I ordered a tail from Eric and It got lost in the mail, as you can imagine i was crushed and contacted Eric to order a second tail as this was not his fault it was the mail.
He informed me he would not only be making me a new tail free of charge but also paying to have it reshipped.
I received it and couldnt be happier with it. I am recovering from a parrot bite and cant get my finger wet at the moment but when im all better
Hopefully i will get some pics taken to share aswell. Anyways I only wanted to share my experience and give a public thank you to the mertailor for my tail:)

wow!Im really surprised he replaced it even though it wasnt his fault. Im happy to hear he did something so good for you. Hopefully he's learning :) how about the tail you have? no complaints?

no complaints here at all.
The Tail Fits just fine, it could maybe use an inch on each side at the very top of the waist but i lost weight since i had ordered it wasnt mismeasuring. It doesnt even really need it I just would prefer to sew it real tight around the top part. And thankfully im a whiz with a sewing machine so thatll be fixed in a few minutes after my finger is all better.
Other than that , I love the color and cannot wait to get it wet hehe :)

Thankyou Nim and Freethinker and yes a parrots bite hurts a lot more than i could of imagined.
I have had my bird for 3 years now and she never bit me before but from now on I will definately be
more cautious with her as i didnt realize the damage she could inflict on me if she really wanted to.
And as for your comment freethinker, Nope no propaganda here lol.

Yes i was a little worried about posting a good reveiw i had seen others have not been as lucky as me but i felt my story should be told :)

yes freethinker.
Not only is it the color i chose but there was even some darker shading added around the sides of the fluke that i absolutely love.
It fits me fine, and yes he replaced the one that was lost by the Mail people at no charge to me. All in all im so happy with it and that he
got me an awesome tail in the end.

general consensus here is that Eric is a real jjackass usually...crappy customer service, harrasment and threats. maybe he grew up or something, because when I got here, there was roughly 1 goood mertailor experience for every 5 super aweful mertailor experience

I couldnt get my digital camera working so i just took a short clip, the quality of the video isnt the best and its kinda dark.

It's wonderful to hear that you had such a great experience! My experience was rather upsetting, and I was one of the first to post a review here on yuku about a rather negative experience, and soon after there seemed to be a snowball of bad experiences. When I took a look at the pattern, I realized that Eric might have been going through something on a personal level. Seeing as your experience was good, perhaps he is doing better now! Oh, by the way, I feel your pain about the parrot bite... in fact, I was feeling it terribly about three days ago when my amazon (Toto) got me on the ear!! I hope yours gets better soon!

That is awful i hope your ear is OK.
My bird is an Amazon aswell, A Blue fronted amazon named baby.
Here is a Video of her singing well if you can call it that. lol.
The video was taken by her previous owner before i got her around 3 years ago so it is not my youtube channel but it is the same bird :)

Im happy everything worked out for you, SERIOUSLY.


But I dont understand why you got a whole new tail free of charge and yet he wont help out anyone else? He seams very extreme. maybe he thought you were cute I dunno but it would be great if he will start treating every customer this good.

I just talked to someone else who recently got a tail and she said the paint is flaking off of her tail after 1 use=/

I was like you and completely expected to have to pay for a new one because honestly it really wasnt his fault it was lost in the mail, I had received the confirmation from UPS saying he dropped it off and after that never received a new update, When i contacted him again about it I was expecting to shell out the $$ for a new one but he told me he felt awful about what happened and wanted to make it right for me.
He even payed for a better shipping service than i had originally payed for so it showed up only a few days after it was sent out. As for the "maybe he thought you were cute"comment. I highly doubt that. I never have sent any photos as of yet with my tail and im not part of any groups he is in the mer-community ( facebook etc) so i dont believe he has ever even seen me before but still you make me blush and giggle by saying that lol.
I realize not everyone has had a happy ending to their story like mine but none the less this is mine and it is a great one i think :)

I agree, what wonderful pictures! You look great!
Does make me miss home though, the creeks and all the green. Any green that manages to hang on to life tends to go brown in the summer and defiantly by fall. I was definitely a creek stomper as a kid and spent most of my time in the woods! But now I'm rambling so I'll :x
