Hi, all me and a frind have been talking mermaiding for a few weeks and I keep jumping and having emotions about it. So I decided to join this forum to learn some things. I know a fabric tail is probably best simce easy less expensive and easy to care for but I am really really displeased with the ones I'm seeing what tips can you guys give me for just tatting out on where to find the best quality prettiest fabric tails? I really want something flow and tropical like a lionfish or fan tail koi lots of frills I am thinking custom would be the way to go for what I want.
I'm thinking this as my first monofin

Welcome to Mernetwork!
I am not really sure about who sells custom fabric tails, but you can buy a simple fabric tail and add extra fins, paint, etc to it.
There are also tutorials on Youtube for making your own fabric tail. You can look at some of those tutorials to get ideas of how to sew on extra fins. This tutorial by Stella the Siren I found helpful because she shows how to add lots of flowy fabric to a tail: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m3symYydz2w

Thanks what would be a good quality starter tail then. And how east is it to modify because I can't sew at all I recently just learned to attach a button.
