Hey everyone! :)

New mer here from Bristol where the waters are always warm and where it never rains........if only :D

Anyway, just wanted to quickly introduce myself and say thank you, guys - it was just amazing to find out there are others as in love with mermaids as me - and so many!

As for me, I'm finally getting back into swimming and loving every minute of it - already have a monofin chosen to buy as soon as I get back into form - yaay! :) Even though I'm still just a merling without scales or a tail, I'm really looking forward to making one, getting to the beach more (when it's actually warm!) and totally can't wait to get into some accessory making!

Oh, btw has anyone here been/wants to go to the Cornwall Mermaid School? I'm planning to go in the summer, just to meet some fellow mers and improve my free diving - I'd Love to hear your experiences!

Hope you're all well and looking forward to seeing you around! :)

Omg Sulis as in the Celtic goddess? (I'm guessing that was intentional.) That's so cool!! Welcome!

Yes, exactly like the goddess! Kudos to you for knowing that :) Are you into mythology, or?

I teach Latin! So I know of Sulis because of when the Romans invaded Britain and adopted/combined Sulis with Minerva to earn British loyalty on the sly. About a book and a half in the curriculum I use takes place in Bath at Aquae Sulis. :)

Amazing! I actually always wanted to learn Latin, but didn't get to it yet. One day soon! Yes, there are Roman baths built on Aquae Sulis, it's incredibly beautiful there, would recommend if you ever visit Britain :)

It's on my list! I was supposed to go to Italy for my high school graduation but the economy tanked that year and we couldn't afford it. On day!
