Hello everyone! Does anyone have any non mer related artwork they would like to share. Since I am an artist, I want to see what other mers can do! (Admins, if this thread is in the wrong place, I do apologise.) So anyway, I'll go first! Here are some examples of my work! 37705 This one, I painted at school using water colours :) 37706 A northern gannet drawing I did with coloured pencils. 37707 I'm really happy with this one, its taken me a few months to do and it's still not done yet! I will post a pic of it when it's done! Please let me know what you think!

They're lovely. I have a bit of a thing for butterflies (and watercolour) so I especially love the first one. ❤️[emoji439]

Thanks Leina! I'm working on a fan piece at the moment - a big portrait with 3 miniatures at the bottom...

There's no paint on the brush in the pic - it's just there for scale!

Holy cow!!! Everyone's art is so great! I have no idea how you managed to get all of that detail into such a small place, Lou.

Thanks! Lots and lots of patience! I'm also really short sighted so I just take off my glasses when I'm doing miniature work and it's like looking thorough a magnifying glass. I guess you could call it cheating... [emoji23]

Here's an apple I drew a little while ago, for my art class. I had to use a uncommon pallet, so I did purple, green, and brown.

I've never been great at digital art, so I've got a lot of respect for anyone who can produce work like that!

Thank you! See I also feel a tremendous amount of respect for people who work traditionally because it's not something I do much of anymore and the lack of "undo" button terrifies me haha!

I'll admit, an 'undo' button would be very handy sometimes! [emoji23]

I've spent ages working on a watercolour piece and I just have a few detailed bits to finish. I'm terrified of wrecking it after all that work now, and it would be so easy to do... As a result, I've only been doing tiny bits at a time lately.

... and over a year later, I think I might be finished...

I’m thinking my New Years resolution should be to NOT spend two years working on a single painting. [emoji85]

Do miniatures count?

I'm really into Warhammer 40,000 (any fellow auxiliaries of Ultramar?) and I'm really proud of this Primaris Space Marine captain from their boxed set :) https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20180104/aea517775b646a048e5b18a8f460148c.jpg

Any plans to develop your drawing skill, like becoming an illustrator?

I already work for commission, and have done a few art pieces for companies. I don't plan on making it a career, though.

Aww i love all of these! I do both traditional media and digital... with certain paints you don't even miss the undo button. With ink you want to pull out your hair if you don't have steady hands.
