Hey, my name is Amphitrite and I love merfolk! My favorite things to do regarding this interest are writing (tons of) stories regarding them and their lives and researching about them and their watery worlds.

I do not have any tails and do not truly plan on owning any as my main interest is my writer's imagination. But I'm sure it will be fun to check out everyone else's.

Thank-you for the information. I was actually shocked that no one was using this one already. ;) But as writer's are considered their story peoples' 'god' I figured Ocean Goddess might work for a merfolk website. :p

I'd love to start off with a monofin and maybe take it from there. I enjoy hanging out with people and wouldn't mind encouraging it near me. But I do need that encouragement. ;)

Welcome, hi! I'd be interested in a writer's section as well, since my interest in mermaids went from The Little Mermaid to an anime called Mermaid Melody: Pichi Pichi Pitch to writing about mermaids, to H2O: Just Add Water/Mako Mermaids, and then I found this forum and here we are. (Still working on that mermaid story. I'd like to actually get it published one day!) I just got my first monofin for Christmas and I'm thrilled by how amazing it is to swim in, so definitely look into getting one! :D
