Hello, everyone!
My name is Ioana and I'm a mermaid-photographer. I live in Bucharest, Romania. I live pretty far from the sea (the Black Sea, which is not very photogenic, sadly).
I am a PhD student (landscape ecology) and I also teach Photography to elementary students.

This summer, I am also working with children in pools, allowing them to use my modest mermaid tail collection and taking photos for them. Underwater, of course.
You can see (a small part of) my portfolio here: http://euphotica.ro/#scoala-de-sirene
Initially, my website was written in English, but I've changed it to Romanian, to suit my target audience. But I don't have too much text and will let the images speak Mermaid language.
I will add more images during the following weeks.

I would like to use this network in order to get inspired for making mermaid tails, I am looking for tutorials using cheap materials (so that I can easy replace the parts or make different sizes, for the kids).

Thank you all for sharing your ideas, looking forward to meeting you!

Thanks a lot, ladies!
I have already started watching the videos.

I also saw a post dating year 2012, regarding a TomNose (a personalised nose-plug to keep water out)- made in Holland.
Do you know anything of this? Has it become more popular since 4 years ago? How do you deal with water filling your sinuses when you do flips?

Thanks!

Hi and sorry for the late response, I just saw your message now :D
I have a collection of many tails, but I want to make more, for children.
I work with kids of all ages and 'sizes', so I need more tails :)) I'm already working on a blue one, a purple one and a turquoise one :D
