How to charge people as a professional mermaid

So im worning my way toward becoming a professional mermaid, and i want to know, how on earth do yall charge people for your services??

Should i find a way for people.to pay through paypal before a gig? Or should i charge cash when i show up to a gig? Or is there a perfect way to charge people?! I really need help with this because i want to make it as easy as possible for people.

Also, in Washington state, do i need to have a state buisness license in order to acually charge people, and do i include tax and all that? Im just not sure how all of the tax stuff works! (Please no rude comments saying im stupid and stuff, im just new to all of this.)
